Govt plays 420, only 172 of 592 Covid cases traced

Goa has reported 592 fresh Covid cases today, taking total count of this month to 3034, with an average of 600 fresh cases every day.
However, as usual, it is not known at which health centres these cases are found since Directorate of Health Services doesn’t provide figures of today’s cases at each centre.
In spite of this, goanews.com tries to trace the trend by comparing cases of two days. But, unfortunately, this exercise becomes futile as more and more cases remain hidden.
Unlike other states or at national level, Government of Goa does not provide a break-up of daily cases. While at national level the health ministry provides a break-up of states, big states provide a break up of several districts.
Goa has only two small districts and 33 health centres. It provides total number of active cases at each centre, but does not bother to add a column of fresh cases.
After keeping 65 per cent cases hidden yesterday, above 70 per cent cases are untraceable today.
With a comparative study as shown in the table below, goanews.com could find only 172 cases at 20 centres. 420 are still hidden.
Almost 13 centres are showing either no rise in Covid19 cases or decline in cases. But since 420 cases are hidden, it’s not known if cases are actually reducing at these 13 centres.
These health centres are Cansaulim, Madkai, Porvorim, Chinchinim, Aldona, Margao, Corlim, Curtorim, Navelim, Quepem, Candolim, Vasco and Ponda.
