Shantaram raises Modi's marital issue

Congress today slipped down to corner BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, rasing questions about his marital status.
Shantaram Naik, Goa’s Rajya Sabha MP and national Congress secretary, reminded Modi that he has to this time fill the columns regarding his marital status, if he has to contest the Lok Sabha election.
The Supreme Court has last week ordered to disqualify any candidate if the nomination form of election is not fully filled.
“I am told that Modi, in his earlier election forms, had left the columns providing information of martial status and spouse blank”, said Naik.
However, said Naik, Modi will have to make it now public whether he is married or not.
According to Naik, he had seen a video around six months ago of a school teacher claiming to be Modi’s wife.
As per the media reports, Modi’s “biographer Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay, Modi married young but the marriage was unconsummated. He kept the wedding a secret because otherwise he would not have become a 'pracharak' in the puritan Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS)”.
When some journalists at a press conference held in Panaji today pointed out that several such videos regarding Sonia and Rahul Gandhi are also uploaded on YouTube, Naik kept his lips tight.
Referring to Modi’s recent meeting he addressed of ex-servicemen with former Army chief V K Singh in Rewari, Naik claimed he would be now Modi’s key advisor.
“You can imagine the fate of this country if the ex-Army chief becomes the advisor of the prime minister, who does not believe in democracy but in fascism”, said Naik.
With Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh approving Modi’s candiadature for the prime minister’s post, Naik said the RSS would now also decide BJP’s menifesto and even its candidates.
