Host plays Modi trumpet, demands firm announcement
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 06 June 2013 21:05 ISTThe Narendra Modi trumpet has already started playing in Goa, with none other but chief minister Manohar Parrikar, the host of the BJP national executive meeting beginning tomorrow, taking initiative.
While talking to Times Now tonight, Parrikar suggested to its leaders to give a clear indication regarding Modi; if possible as the prime ministerial candidate.
“People are smart to understand the indication, even announcing him as the campaign chief is fine”, said Parrikar.
He feels the party should set a time table in Goa meet and take a firm decision on deciding about Modi.
The Goa chief minister is confident that Modi as the national leader can definitely give a jump of at least two to three per cent votes, which can bring the BJP to power in the forthcoming Lok Sabha poll.
“Goa has always been lucky for the BJP, may it be the national executive of 1999 or 2002, bringing to the party to power”, he claimed.
According to Parrikar, the announcement regarding Modi is getting delayed due to multiple views in the party over the issue.
Being a democratic country, he however finds nothing wrong in having multiple views on prime ministerial candidate.
The Parliamentary Board is meeting is expected to be held tomorrow, after the office bearers finalise the agenda for the executive meeting.
While all the top leaders including L K Advani would attend the PB meeting, Modi may not attend it.
BJP spokesperson Akthar Abbas Naqvi also did not deny the news of Modi not attending the meeting at a press conference held today afternoon.
The political parties in india talk all the time about poor and when whole of the country is still suffering from drought the opposition party of india is having its national convention at a 5 star resort in goa. the issue before this convention is not what the national problems are but who is going to be PM candidate. these politicians have no shame.
All political parties have their own code of conduct and they act accordingly. Considering this, no one can demand from any party, say BJP, that their prime mistrial candidate must be announced by certain person of the party!
Yes, as a voter, one can be inquisitive of knowing whom the party wants to project as their choicest candidate!! If this be the inquisitiveness about BJP candidate, what about the projection of Congress candidate? No one is asking nor writing about it! Why?
BJP’s national executive meeting begins tomorrow in Goa. Party might take decision on their choice of candidate to be projected as their prime ministerial candidate. But then it will be only BJP’s choice and not NDA’s choice.
yes,modi shoud be prime minister
