CM agrees to discuss Goa Lokayukta in 24 hours

Adv Satish Sonak addressing the protestors at CM's Altinho residence

Chief minister Digambar Kamat has assured to meet India Against Corruption in next 24 hours to discuss the pending Lokayukta bill of Goa.

The bill, which was passed by the state Assembly earlier, has been shelved due to intervention of President of India, due to couple of objectionable clauses.

Around 50 activists today evening dashed the Altinho residence of the CM, led by Adv Satish Sonak.

Later, they courted arrest and were taken to Panaji police station, to be released late night.

Panaji DySP Deu Banaulikar conveyed the message of the chief minister to the protestors.

The chief minister was however in Margao.

Meanwhile, marches and rallies continued in Goa, in support of Anna Hazare, in different parts of Goa, including several villages.

It included citizens as well  as student community in a large number.
