Bhosle’s ‘Enemy?’ bags National Award for Konkani film

 

"Enemy?", a Konkani film directed by Dinesh Bhosle, has bagged India’s most prestigious National Film Award for a Konkani movie this year.

The 63rd National Film awards 2015 were presented by Ramesh Sippy, renowned filmmaker and head of the 11-memebr jury, set up by Government of India.

The award in Konkani category consists of Rajat Kamal and Rs 1 lakh each to director Bhosle and producer A Durga Prasad.

In general category, ‘Bahubali’ has been awarded the Best Feature Film and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has been declared Best Popular Film providing Wholesome Entertainment. 

Amitabh Bachchan has been chosen for Best Actor award for the film ‘Piku’ while Kangana Ranaut as the Best Actress for ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has bagged the Best Direction Award for his Film ‘Bajirao Mastani’. 

 

STORY OF ‘PAKISTANI’ PROPERTY

‘Enemy?’ is based on an interesting theme of some Goans losing their ancestral property to Government of India because their ancestors were settled in today’s Pakistan, before partition, in undivided India.

Released in December, Bhosle’s second film after Hindi movie ‘Calapor’ is presently making waves in Goa.

Music of the film is composed by Schubert Cotta.

The lead roles are played by Meenacshi Martins, Salil Naik, Antonio Crasto and Samiksha Desai.

The other actors are Raju Hede, Shishir Krishna Sharma, Vishwajit Phadte, Nitin Kolvekar, Rupa Chari, Arvind Singh, Ramakant Anvekar, Gauri Kamat, Mithun Mahambrey, Tanvi Bambolkar and Libereta Fernandes.

Singers in the film are Myron Mascarenhas with Mecxy Cotta and Jesus Gomes. The lyrics are by Fr Ubald Fernandes, Fr Vasco Rego SJ, Schubert Cotta and Roque Lazarus. 

Sushant Tari, Goa's renowned artist, is the art director.
