BJP gets 80% funds from unknown sources: AAP
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 23 May 2016 19:58 ISTAam Aadmi Party has challenged the Bharatiya Janata Party to come on open forum with their accounts of income and expenditure to ascertain who gets money from where.
“80 per cent of BJP’s funds are coming from unknown sources. Our each and every rupee is publicly displayed on our website”, said Valmiki Naik, local AAP leader.
He was reacting to the demand made by Deputy Speaker Vishnu Wagh that AAP should make it public where they raised funds from for the rally organised in Panaji yesterday.
BJP’s St Andre MLA had also demanded the income and expenditure account of the AAP funds, including the money they spent for promotion of the rally in Goa.
“We keep accounts of each and every rupee we get though it is not legally mandatory to name a person donating below Rs 20,000”, said Naik.
He also invited the Congress to come out clean on the funds they are getting.
The allegation is nothing new, said Naik, recalling that AAP was even accused by the national BJP leaders of getting foreign donations and then submitting before the court that there is nothing wrong with such donations.
“The fresh accusation is nothing but a sign of fear after the successful rally”, he claimed.
The soft-spoken AAP leader also advised the BJP that it is too little too late what Wagh is doing and people of Goa have already decided to choose AAP in the next Assembly election.
The accusation regarding fund mobilisation was also made today by local BJP president Vinay Tendulkar while Nuvem MLA Mickky Pacheco had alleged that AAP had paid money to the people for the rally.
The fresh accusation is nothing new but a sign of fear and panic after the successful rally in Panjim.
Wagh and others should think before talking...
All the best to AAP members and Party Leaders...
