3D planetorium at Miramar on anvil

Stargazers in Goa will be in for a celestial treat soon as a 3D planetarium is expected to come up next to the Miramar beach near here.
Goa Science Centre, an initiative of National Centre of Science Museums, has planned the planetarium at its facility in the state, at a cost of 76 lakh.
Centre''s Goa Coordinator V N Joshi told PTI that the facility will have a sitting capacity of 50 people and it will be constructed with joint funding of Goa and Union government.
"The state and central government will share the expenditure on 50:50 per cent basis," he said.
The project, on the lines of Nehru Planetarium will have a eight-meter-long dome and will be ready within next six months.
Joshi said being situated next to a beach, the planetarium can also become a major tourist attraction.
Joshi said the aim of the Centre is to make people understand Science through experiments.
"People should involve themselves in Science to understand it," he said, adding "in usual museums you are not allowed to touch the exhibits, but here you can interact with the exhibits to understand and feel the Science."
Nice to learn about the planetorium and it will be a nice project for the lovers of astronomy. But why is that all the new projects are planned in the cities like Panajim which are already congested?
When the tax payer's money is being spent on public projects--care needs to be taken to ensure that the new projects are not concentrated in already congested cities but need to be spread in other parts of Goa.
This wrong policy of the Government is mainly responsible for the major chunk of the public money being spent in crowded cities of Panjim and Margao.
This leads to migration from the villages to cities too......
What about the talukas like Canacona or Sanguem?
Why is that those talukas are totally neglected and no public funds are spent in those talukas on any green projects ?
Why is that even the roads are neglected for decades till the villagers are forced to resort to demonstrations?
Goa needs to be seen as one whole unit for the development and not all the available public funds spent only in selected talukas.........
Economic viability of the any project should be seen… Which place is suitable for it, defiantly major or more cities of Goa… Why to have such a major project should go to a rural area. Is it a diary or a poultry farm..? And Panaji is a capital city of Goa… even though Panaji has the space constraint, it cannot be shifted to rural parts of Goa, let the beauty of the rural Goa be preserved as it is. It can be moved in the outskirts of Panaji.. As far as north and south Goa is concerned South has a major railway junction, where all the trains’ stops, airport is there in south Panaji n North Goa is more suitable for the planetarium as it will be an tourist attraction and where the more tourist are..?
